Structural Steel Superstructure Fabrication & Installation
Galvanised Steel Frame
Assesmont delivered the full structural steel package for a high‑end poolhouse in Northwood. From the outset, our team focused on accuracy, durability and a clean architectural finish. Because the building sits around an indoor pool, every element needed to perform reliably in a humid environment. As a result, the entire frame was galvanised for long‑term protection.
The poolhouse footprint measures 20.9m x 8.3m, and the internal pool runs 15.6m long and 4.3m wide. To support these spans, we used UB columns, cranked UB roof beams, SHS eaves members, RHS sections, CHS bracing and PFC steels. Each component was cut, drilled and welded with tight tolerances, which allowed the frame to go together smoothly on site. This approach also helped maintain the open internal layout the client wanted.
Large glazed openings form a key part of the design. The structure carries a 10.67m sliding door set and full‑height windows up to 4.28m wide. To achieve this, we installed engineered lintels and connection plates that manage heavy glazing loads while keeping the visual profile slim. In addition, cranked beams and reinforced trimming steels support the specialist rooflights positioned over the pool and gym.
With these elements working together, the finished frame offers strength, stability and long‑span performance. It provides a solid foundation for a modern leisure space and reflects Assesmont’s commitment to quality steel fabrication.
