Structural Steel Supply Package
Project Overview
Assesmont Group is delivering the structural steel supply for the Brandy Hole Yacht Club redevelopment into three dwellings, providing all primary and secondary steel members for the conversion of the former clubhouse on the River Crouch.
Working from the engineer’s drawings, we are supplying all primary and secondary steel members required for the new multi‑level structure, including:
- UC columns
- UC and UB beams across all floors
- Cranked roof steels up to 7.5 m
- Timber‑interface beams with pre‑drilled web holes
- Profiled plates such as base plates, end plates, toe plates, stiffeners and haunch plates
- All steels are fabricated to specification and finished in red oxide primer.
Scope of Works
The package includes more than 100 fabricated components, prepared with:
- Welded plates
- Drilled connection holes
- Mitre‑cut tops for roof pitch
- Timber‑connection holes
- Stiffeners for additional strengthening
- Cranked roof beams (CR1–CR5) are supplied complete with haunch and toe plates to form the new roof profile.
Supporting the Redevelopment
This steel package forms the main structure for the three‑dwelling conversion, enabling new layouts, hybrid steel‑timber systems and improved structural performance throughout the building.
