New Entrance Framing & Mezzanine Steel – Project Overview

Introduction

Our work on the new entrance framing & mezzanine steel installation at PureGym Hounslow required careful planning, precise fabrication, and efficient on‑site coordination. From the first design review to the final inspection, we delivered a complete structural steel package that improved both access and usable floor space within the facility.

Entrance Framing Steelwork

The entrance framing included hollow‑section posts, welded baseplates, and bracing members. These components support new cladding and signage, creating a stronger and more durable entrance structure. In addition, all steel was fully galvanised. As a result, the installation offers long‑term protection against corrosion, which is essential in high‑traffic public areas.

To minimise disruption, we scheduled the works around existing pedestrian routes. This approach allowed PureGym to remain operational throughout the installation. It also ensured that safety standards were maintained at every stage.

Mezzanine Steel Platform

The mezzanine steel platform provides PureGym with valuable additional floor area. It was built using primary beams, secondary joists, connection plates, and edge protection steelwork. Each component was fabricated to tight tolerances. Because of this accuracy, the on‑site assembly was fast, safe, and fully aligned with the existing building frame.

Furthermore, our team coordinated lifting operations and temporary works. This ensured that the mezzanine structure was installed efficiently and in compliance with industry regulations.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

All welding was completed by coded welders, and every material was sourced from CE‑marked suppliers. Throughout the project, we carried out inspections and checks to maintain quality. Consequently, the final installation meets both structural and safety requirements.
