Structural Steel Solution for Poolhouse Construction
Crafted for Quality, Built for a Beautiful Setting
This poolhouse project showcases Assesmont’s commitment to precision steel fabrication and exceptional build quality. Set within a stunning Northwood property, the structure combines engineered strength with clean architectural detailing, creating a modern, high‑end space that enhances both the home and its surroundings.
The poolhouse is formed from a fully engineered galvanised steel superstructure, built around a series of UB columns, cranked roof beams, ridge steels and SHS eaves members. This frame supports the long-span roof over the swimming pool and gym, as well as large glazed openings and specialist rooflights.
The building footprint measures approx. 20.9m x 8.3m, with the internal swimming pool running about 15.6m in length and 4.3m in width. Large sliding doors (10.67m wide) and full-height windows (up to 4.28m wide) are supported by steel lintels and beams designed to carry significant glazing loads. Precision‑fabricated connection plates, stiffeners, haunches and purlin cleats ensure accurate installation and structural stability. The galvanised finish provides long-term corrosion resistance – essential for a humid pool environment – resulting in a modern, durable steel frame engineered for strength and architectural flexibility.
