Entrance and Mezzanine Structural Support Steelwork

We recently completed our structural steel package for the new PureGym opening soon in Hounslow. The scope included supply, detailed fabrication, delivery, and installation of galvanised structural steel – helping to transform an existing high-street building into a modern 24/7 fitness space.
High-strength steel grades were selected for the main members, with hot-dip galvanising applied throughout for durability in the gym’s humid, high-use environment.
Key elements included:
🔸 New entrance framing – A bold, welcoming portal-style structure with tall square hollow section posts, welded baseplates and top plates for support, plus spanning horizontal beams fitted with fixing arms and end plates. It will accommodate large glazed doors, prominent signage, and a practical canopy, ensuring strong street presence and easy access.
🔸 Permanent mezzanine platform – Substantial universal beams supported by columns and shorter circular hollow section posts carry the elevated floor. On-site welding of stiffeners and toe plates ensured seamless integration with the existing structure. Metal decking and safety railings will create dedicated upper areas for functional training, free weights, or classes, while the ground floor remains open for cardio and general equipment.
