Fabrication & Installation of Switchback Staircase, Fenchurch Street

Out of hours work installing switchback staircase, trimmers and riser steelwork in live office building.

EightyFen is a 14-storey, 240,000 sq ft office building with a focus on sustainability (BREEAM Excellent, WiredScore Platinum) and occupier wellbeing.

We are working with the principal contractor in designing, fabricating and installing a new feature staircase at Aviva’s head office at 80 Fenchurch Street. This is a switchback staircase that we have designed and produced in our factory and has one half landing, with a 180 degree return and replaces the previous wooden staircase that was unsafe.

The latest ongoing stages include fitting glass to the stairs and void, and the fitting of the staircase tiles.
