Fabrication & Installation of Staircase, Trimmers and Riser Steelwork

Out of hours work installing switchback staircase, trimmers and riser steelwork in live office building.

We are working with the principal contractor in designing, fabricating and installing a new feature staircase at Aviva’s head office at 80 Fenchurch Street. This is a switchback staircase that we have designed and produced in our factory and has one half landing, with a 180 degree return and replaces the previous wooden staircase that was unsafe.

We installed fire-painted trimmer steel beams to make the existing opening in the ground floor smaller. Riser works include removing existing beam encased in ground level slab, infilling openings in the existing beams where the new ones will be connected.
